Formerly the Tetley Brewery Headquarters, charity Project Space Leeds has transformed the iconic building into Leeds’ premier cutting edge contemporary arts centre and a major cultural venue for the city. It retains period Art Deco features such as the grand wood panelled boardroom and incorporates the ‘Bar and Kitchen’ restaurant, with a menu designed by acclaimed chef Anthony Flinn, exciting new gallery space and arts education facilities.
Outsmart have been part of the process of redeveloping ‘The Tetley’ since the very beginning. We have created every aspect of the visual identity and our striking visuals feature on all materials including external and internal signage, advertising, what’s on guides, menus, T-shirts, flags, posters, the website, e-mail comms and much more. We also developed a launch campaign for ‘The Tetley’ incorporating direct marketing, advertising, local press, posters and e-broadcast amongst others.
“It was important the brand identity of the building evoked its rich heritage. The use of the classic art deco font Gill Sans in a modern style captures perfectly the idea of reinterpreting the old in a contemporary fashion.” Paul Harker
“Outsmart have produced a striking and effective brand identity that really captures the essence of ‘The Tetley.’ The work they’ve done will help to ensure The Tetley’s success as a major draw to the city.” Pippa Hale, director of The Tetley.
