Team Outsmart Inspires Runners Come Back

Team Outsmart completed another 10k event on the 8th July as they took part in the Jane Tomlinson Run For All 10k through Leeds City Centre.

This was the teams 4th run of the year as they aim to take part in at least 6 events throughout 2012 in their support for The Sick Children’s Trust.

Team Outsmart was made up of founding members Andy Taylor, Kerry Harker, Michael Wadsworth, Jason Hibbert and Simon Robinson, but also had new entrants Bill Taylor and Chris Evans. Bill was running his first 10k race in over 15 years at the age of 66 and after suffering several serious heart conditions a few years ago.

Andy Taylor Managing Partner said “It was another fantastic event and a privilege that Team Outsmart was able to take part in such a memorable event in the Leeds calendar. It was also good to have new members and we were all delighted we inspired Bill to make his running comeback who did an amazing time of 1hr 10minutes. We’re now looking forward to future events which may even include an extreme challenge later in the year – so watch this space.”

The event was the largest the team had taken part in so far with over 5000 runners and followed 2 10k races in Huddersfield and 1 in Sheffield earlier in the year.
